“Adogma’s Cottage” is a beautifully restored 1930’s Queenslander with polished hard wood floors, perfect for you and your pet relaxing indoors – pets are most welcome inside! There are strong pet proof security doors back and front, and window screens of the same calibre. No need to worry about your pets breaking out!

The inside of this charming cottage boasts high ornate ceilings, a generously sized main bedroom with bay window, a spacious second bedroom and central bathroom with a spa. There is also a third bedroom which is a study-come-sleep-out containing a king single fold out bed. The main bedroom has a TV and DVD so parents have their own retreat.

The study and the front vestibule are designed for relaxing and reading, allowing vacationers to have their own personal space when the cottage is occupied by the whole family. The separate lounge room and dining room are spacious and comfortable. The compact kitchen and laundry has all the modern conveniences. A generous double car port is provided, offering shelter from the elements.

Bungunyah Manor Resort

A warm welcome awaits you as you drive through the entrance gates of Historic “Bungunyah Manor Resort”.

Surrounded by national parks and rainforest, Bungunyah is located high on Tamborine Mountain, 550 metes above sea level with views to the Gold Coast. “Bungunyah”, aboriginal in origin, meaning ‘the tall safe house,’ was built in 1928 as a guest house during the hard days of depression, by Jim and Emily Franklin. Mary and Edmund Curtis (the first settlers on Tamborine) were the parents of Emily.

The house was built of timber from the “Curtis Timber Yard” as well as from the original ‘Syndicate House’ – the first recorded ‘Get Away from it All’ place founded by Brisbane businessmen. The solid timber panelling in the lounge room came from the syndicate house and was cut about 1880.

Additions to Bungunyah Manor were made in 1990, being a two-storey sandstone Manor House. The 16 guest room Manor House Hotel has an imposing entry where you are transported in time to a splendid Victorian Manor where chandeliers and mirrors reflect the wide sweeping staircase that leads to the upstairs suites while a grandfather clock chimes off the decades.

Features include the elegant Victorian style sandstone all-suite accommodation manor house with Louis XV, Queen Anne and early Australian colonial themes throughout. Each split-level suite has a sitting room with a Victorian gas fire, a spacious balcony, queen bed, gold plated taps in the en-suite plus colonial style vanity, colour TV with remote, tea/coffee facilities, fridge, direct dial telephones and an ambiance of yesteryear. The “Mount Tamborine Coffee Plantation” is a small family owned and operated boutique coffee plantation and roastery specialising in producing high quality gourmet coffee.  We are located approximately 40 kilometres west of the world famous Gold Coast Beaches, high on the fertile plateau of Mount Tamborine.

Our plants have been selected from the world’s finest stock. The rich volcanic soil, pure mountain water and high altitude (550 metres above sea level), combined with our organic growing principles, make our beans some of the most sought after in Australia and the world.

We process and roast our handpicked beans on site to ensure that quality is not compromised.
