TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN HAS SOMETHING TO ”CROW” ABOUT!!

Events Tamborine, Scarecrow building, buskers and street entertainment, kids fun

The 2012 Scarecrow Festival was again a fun filled weekend for the young and young at heart and was a great success!

Dates for 2013 – Friday 18th to Sunday 20th of October!

The fifth Scarecrow Festival on Tamborine Mountain held in October 2012 was again a huge success.  Over 200 scarecrows lined the 17 km trail and added some extra sparkle to beautiful Tamborine Mountain.

The festival is designed to provide lots of fun for everyone, allow Buskers and Art Folk to be creative, offer involvement of the whole community and for everyone to enjoy a chuckle at each others efforts in Scarecrow building.

A variety of great entertainment incl. singers, musicians, dancers and drummers perform in the streets and restaurants in North Tamborine and Gallery Walk over the weekend.

In 2010, the “Starlight Foundation” raised $825 with donations from the public.  The winners of the Best Traditional Scarecrow, Peter and Robyn Cornell, have donated their Scarecrow to the foundation, and his new home is the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

Mt Tamborine’s scarecrows were again of an amazingly high standard, so get ready for an even better display next year!

Mark your calendar for next years Scarecrow festival on Mount Tamborine and make sure to book your accommodation early if you want to take part in both days of the festival!

“Tamborine Trolleys”is a family run business, committed to excellence, based at Mount Tamborine. The company has been in operation since 2002 and was formed as a response to the need for mountain transport to link the many attractions of the mountain not only to one another, but also as a destination from popular starting points such as the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

With the iconic “Tamborine Trolleys”, visitors to Mt Tamborine can experience the diversity of Tamborine Mountain in style and safety.

The Tamborine Trolleys were designed with spaciousness, comfort and sightseeing in mind, and are delightful character trolleys based on a turn of the century tram. The wood paneling, open rear section, bench seats and historic color scheme captures the ambience of a bygone era and ads an extra dimension to the experience of sightseeing on Tamborine Mountain.

Tamborine Trolleys are unique tram-style trolleys, purpose-built to showcase the mountain’s wine trail, restaurants, antique shops and galleries, and the nature walks and views to create a unique tour experience for visitors.

With the blinds rolled up on the open-air rear section of the Tamborine Trolleys, there is no better way to experience the fresh mountain air, magnificent scenery and the many attractions of Tamborine Mountain.

We are proud to say that over the past few years, we have been recognised for vision and excellence with four tourism awards. We are constantly striving to improve and expand our services.
